The Germans are attempting to reclaim their colonial possessions  in East Africa, after they were driven out by the Mahdi (with Martian help in our Victorian Sci-Fi timeline). Battle of Mehmeetma

A British force clashes with a Mahdist force in the Sudan. The British have augmented their force with Victorian Sci-Fi elements, including a tank-like steam carriage, certain the Mahdists will run in fear at the mechanical contraption. Read the full report on Keith Finn’s Game Reports blog.


Second Battle of El Teb

Battle of El Obeid

In this straight up Colonial battle (no Victorian Sci-Fi elements), British General Hicks Pasha attacks a Mahdist force near their capital. European Force seizes Bloody Escarpment

As the Europeans race towards Peking, they encounter a Boxer and Imperial Chinese force dug in on an escarpment to block their advance. However, the Chinese do not wait for the Europeans to throw them off the hillside, but charge. This is another straight up Colonial battle. In this Victorian Sci-Fi clash set during the Boxer Rebellion, a retreating force of Colonial Europeans is buying time for an escaping column of civilians. Keith Finn stepped in for rules author Tom Graves and ran this exciting game at Advance the Colors 2016 in Springfield, OH. Keith fielded a bewildering array of colorful Victorian Science-Fiction troops, including beasts of war and mechanical walkers, as warfare raged between an earth invasion force on Mars. The Imperials Strike Back!

The British have led a counter-expedition to Mars in response to the Cephalapod invasion. The Imperial Martian forces are striking hard at the British as they attempt to use a power plant to repair one of their damaged ether ships. This was a playtest for a game that First Command Wargames member Keith will be running at Advance the Colors. Seymour’s Expedition to China

Two battles were fought in an evening’s gaming during this test of a mini-campaing using For Queen & Planet rules. In this account, allied forces are moving up to relieve Peking. 1870: Germans Invade France

This For Queen and Planet battle report has a combined German and French Colonial force making a landing on the coast of Tanzania. Mahdist forces catch the Europeans as they disembark. Contains a number of VSF style units that look great and are fun to play on the tabletop!

In this Victorian Science-Fiction game hosted at Siege of Augusta 2015, the Martians are aiding the Boxers in China against a combined Italian-Russian-English force. The Europeans are tryign to buy time to evacuate a column of refugees.

Mars Attacks to Aid the Boxer Rebellion!

This For Queen and Planet battle report, the Martians are attacking alongside the Boxers in China. The Colonial powers fight a delaying action against the Sino-Cephalopod force. This displays some of the color that adding the VSF units add to the game in our rules.
